Merauke blue tongue skinks come from Indonesia and are notoriously difficult to breed in captivity in North America. There are a handful of Merauke breeders (those who have intentionally and successfully paired animals, cared for the female throughout the gestation and had her give birth all while in the breeder's care and keeping from beginning to end) in the US and none known in Canada.
This is our second year working with Merauke's and we can hardly wait to one day announce that little ones have arrived! Merauke BTS are a wonderful reptile, they are big and gentle. They tolerate as much or little handling as you are comfortable with.
